Maxwell Road Food Centre is a food centre located in the central region of Singapore. The now tourist-packed food centre began as a wet market in 1929, going through multiple changes and even operated through the Japanese Occupation! In 1987, it was officially turned into a food centre that has since become an iconic place for traditional Chinese food for office workers, tourists and residents alike.
